We took a quick Liverpool Museum tour (did you know Liverpool was the first shipyard to send boats all the way to trade with China from England?), watched a 3D movie about the Beatles and headed off to find The Cavern, where the famous four first played, and visited some 167 times later.
The club was in a basement and there was a live musician there, covering Beatles' songs beautifully on his acoustic.
Danny and I grabbed a Guinness and a Cider and sat down with Pat and Miles for a drink and some good music. All the bricks lining the club had been signed by probably thousands of devouts, but unfortunately, we couldn't find any markers :(
Spending the day with the Beatles was pretty awesome.Tomorrow, we shove off to Newcastle. Unfortunately, it's a five hour bus ride, but it was a hell of a lot cheaper than the train. Once we're there, we'll take a tour of the brewery (Stefan!!!) and settle down in a private room hostel.
Hey Rachel,
